Neil Prakash grew up in small town Saskatchewan smack in the heart of Canada's vast prairies.
During undergrad school Neil began his professional career as an intern architect with AODBT Architects in Saskatoon where he participated in numerous projects performing tasks that ranged from design development and technical drawing to model building.
Neil's abilities today are firmly embedded in the activities of Master Planning, Programming, Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Detailing, Project Management, Office Management and Strategic Proposal Creation. He is a competent Design Architect who has worked on a number of projects of various scales. His past projects include housing, cultural, community based work and sculptural art. His project experience ranges from conceptual, planning and programming, to construction documents and finessing out custom details that work.
Neil is also co-founder and Business Director of
HK+NP Studio a jewelry/architecture studio in Vancouver. The company designs contemporary jewelry in precious metals which are made through a silversmith in Japan with exemplary quality. HK+NP's designs emphasize the architectural backgrounds of the studio's partners, clean lines and distinct forms. Design development in Jewelry ranges from conceptual design, through design development, prototyping, and production, and includes business management.
Since 2005 Neil has been a Design and Project Architect with
Nick Milkovich Architects Inc. in Vancouver involved in multiple residential, community and public projects for regions in western Canada.
