Richard Derksen grew up in southern Manitoba in a rural community south of Winnipeg. After pursuing an Arts degree majoring in History and English and graduate school at both McGill and the University of Manitoba, Rick began his professional career as an intern architect with GBR Architects and Number Ten Architectural Group.
